a belated birthday for Kelly TongueRelaxer. my camera died halfway through so i used my phone. lot of people guesting in each others sets. Fibbing ended their set with a cover of Warren Zevon's Lawyers, Guns, & Money featuring Claire of the DOJD and Remi of both DOJD and Tongue Relaxer. both Tongue Relaxer and The DOJD featured the same rhythm section as a consequence of Emerson drumming for DOJD for an evening. and The DOJD's set featured both Ely Lilac (also in Tongue Relaxer) on additional lead vocals, and Emma from Fibbing on piano for a rendition of Will The Circle Be Unbroken. also Claire invited my parents for some reason.

night two of a fundraiser to open some sort of ill-understood home studio creative space. to paraphrase the Phantom AD, i go where The DOJD takes me. this one was a prime slice of them fucking with college students, performing an extremely unrehearsed Queen cover set with six minutes of prank calls in the middle. also i missed the large scale rap spotlight at the end, i wish i had caught it.

tried to make plans with my friend Ariel, and she parried by telling me to come to this gig she was running sound for. first Total Wife set i've caught in its entiriety in a minute. the 20 minute noise wall they closed with was extremely emotionally affecting, like knowing something horrible has happened but no one realizes yet.

Cigarettes for Breakfast
